Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known
as Wizkid is top Nigerian music artist and song writer. This young musician was once named as the richest African musician by Forbes.
Ayodeji Ibrabim Balaogun professionally known as Wizkid was born on the 16th of July, 1990 in Surulere, Lagos.  In other words, he is 29 years old.
He is said to be born into a polygamous home: his father has three wives. He has 12 female siblings. His father was a Muslim and his mother worships as a Pentecostal church as a Christian.
 The young Nigerian artist is said to be interested in music even at a very young age. An evidence of this, is how he has been singing as part of the church choir in his mother local church at the age of 11 and eventually release a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.
Before Wizkid became popularly known, he bears the stage name Lil Prinz until 2006. In 2009, Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment; this is believed as the year of great opportunity. In mid-2009, the same year he inked a record deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment, he dropped at of Lagos State University to focus on his music career. Later on, he attended Lead State University, but dropped out after completing two sessions.
In the year 2010, the famous young musician release “Holla at your Boy”. With this song, he was starting to be on top of his game. The song earned him the Next Rated award at the Headies 2011, and was eventually nominated for Best Pop Single at the aforementioned awards show. The music video of “Holla at your Boy” was also nominated for Most Gifted Newcomer Video later at 2011 Channel O Music. It was also nominated for Best Afro Pop Video at the 2011 Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA).
Ever since 2010, his musical career has taken a new height. This of course has exposed him to diverse opportunities and of course, several musicians and producers. He has been privileged to work with already successful stars in the entertainment industries like Sound Sultan, Naeto C, OJB, 2Face Idibia, Banky W, Skales, E-Kelly and many others.
Wizkid is also said to have been building himself international reputation. In 2016, Wizkid became the first Nigerian artist to climb out on Billboard’s Twitter following his guest feature on Drake’s afrobeat-infused “One Dance Single” which appeared at the number 21 and in May 16, 2016, the song was already at the number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song retained that position 10 non-consecutive weeks. The song didn’t just end there; it went further beating and topping the charts of different other countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France and Germany.
Internationally, Wizkid has built relationships with international stars including Drake, Chris Brown, French Motana, Kranium and many others.

An evidence of Wizkid hard-work is the number of times he has been nominated and the number of awards won. He is the recipient of two BET Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, two iHeart Radio Music Awards, six The Headies Award, four MTV Africa Music Awards, two SoundCity MVP Awards, three MOBO Awards, six The Headies Awards, two Channel O Music Video Awards, six Nigeria Entertainment Awards, two Ghana Music Awards, two Dynamix All Youth Awards, two City People Entertainment Awards, and a Future Award.
He has been nominated for; America Music Awards (thrice), World Music Awards (four times), Grammy Awards (once), MTV Europe Music Awards (Five times)

Net Worth

As mentioned above, Wizkid was recently called the richest musician by Forbes. He has signed a lot of endorsement deals worth millions of naira. In 2012, he signed an endorsement deal with Pepsi worth an estimate of 120 million naira. In 2015, he stepped up as one of the Brand’s ambassador of Globacom for N180, million NGN.
He also makes a lot of money from his show; it is said that he charge N6 million naira per show.
The young musician is therefore said to be worth $14 million which in naira is about 5.1 billion naira.
