LIST OF DEGREES THAT OFFER THE HIGHEST JOB OPPORTUNITIES AND DEGREES THAT OFFER THE LOWEST JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN NIGERIA

It is very scary and exasperating to see people who have just graduated from the higher institute searching for a job without reasonable success. Some graduates have been looking for a job for the past one year, some for the past two years, some for the past five years, some for the past ten years and so on, with no reasonable success. In response to this infuriating, yet heart saddening situation, most graduates look at their level of certificate with scorn and are impelled to acquire more certificate .That is why some people are likely to have five PhD s , two Masters and so on. Even after this, some would still not find the dream job they have been searching and crying to have. Which then bring them to the question “Does my discipline or degree offer enough opportunities for me to ride on?” There are so many disciplines or degrees offered by any higher institute. Every of this degree is associated with its opportunities when seeking a job.
Here comes the bitter truth; some degrees offer very high job opportunity while others offer very exiguous job opportunity that could make a graduate frustrated or simply stranded even after making good grades at the higher institute.

Without wasting much of your time, let us go into the main business why you are actually reading this post.

It is pertinent to be aware of the criteria for ranking these degrees in relation to the job opportunities they render.
The ranking factor here is base on the number of different jobs that are willing to employ you on account of the degree one is holding and not the salary structure or size associated to that degree or discipline.

NOTE:  The degree of scarcity of jobs in Nigeria is really high. Graduating from a discipline with really high job opportunity is not still a guarantee to get a good job in Nigeria. All through my secondary school years, I had seen graduates of prominent and valued disciplines like engineering, mathematics and statistics, pure and industrial chemistry teaching mathematics, physics and chemistry, while some graduates which read the same course with them works at a really big company collecting a six-figure salary.

In summary, no degree is useless. If perhaps you didn’t find the dream job after you must have graduated, try and upgrade your skills and be an entrepreneur whose focus is to make millions of naira from what you are good at. You would be surprise how companies would be so interested in you.
